Grant assures Siteman will continue cutting-edge treatment

The Siteman Cancer Center at Barnes-Jewish Hospital and the School of Medicine has received renewal of its designation as a Comprehensive Cancer Center by the National Cancer Institute. The renewal includes $23 million in funding for the next five years. FULL STORY

Joe Deal tribute exhibit opens Nov. 3

Former art school dean Joe Deal, who died of cancer last summer, was among the most influential American landscape photographers of the latter 20th century, known for austere, almost abstract images that balance depictions of the natural and man-made worlds. Beginning Wednesday, Nov. 3, the Kemper Art Museum will celebrate Deal’s life and art with the exhibition Joe Deal: West and West.  FULL STORY
